Cooperative profile
Multicoopter Drone aims at using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) in “standard” fields but also in new areas. Starting from “loyal drone customers” (those operating in cinema, tourism, television and advertising) they plan to offer their services to other targets, often badly informed on the advantages of drone utilization in other fields such as construction, energy and agriculture.
The cooperative key activities are:
- video-making to promote companies, facilities and geographical areas;
- orthophotos, thermographic inspections, precision farming aerial surveys and 3D modelling;
- aerial video-surveillance for companies and local authorities;
- information clouding and data processing;
- drone assembly and training on drone use.
They are specializing in precision farming and first-person-view tourism. They are also designing a drone that can be used in tiny or dangerous spaces.
Target market
The cooperative’s target market is a new one but expected to grow. The major factors driving this market include the increasing demand for drones for civilian applications and rapid technological drone advancements. However, there is still a certain lack of knowledge about drone potential for all kinds of businesses. Target sectors are cinema, tourism and advertising but there are good chances of reaching other fields such as agriculture, construction, wind and photovoltaic energy.
Founders
The cooperative is made up of three members graduated in different disciplines (Archeology, Engineering, Civil Protection and Defense) but all having a drone-pilot license.
