Cooperative profile

Tatabox is a study space enriched with different services to meet students’ needs. The cooperative offers the following spaces and services:

• A Study Area: 80 places available for quiet study and groups for collaboration and group learning. The space is equipped with Wi-Fi, printers, video projectors, whiteboards and other facilities;
• A Relax Area: with newspapers, magazines, board games, automatic drink and food machines;
• Tatadidattica: cheap and easily-accessible tutorial sessions (Tataweek: weekly language courses or other courses; Tataiuto: individual or group lessons on specific subjects on request);
• Tatafun: leisure, sport and cultural activities to promote socialization and local heritage knowledge among students;
• Shop Box: selling of stationery items and computer accessories, photocopying, printing and bookbinding;
• Tatabook: selling and buying of used textbooks;
• Tatainfo: reception area and Info desk to find information about everything that is going on and ask for new services to be carried out.

Target market

The cooperative’s target market is composed of students from 17 to 35 years old. Regardless of demographics, motivations and mindsets they share the need to study in a comfortable place where individual and group studying is possible, and where appropriate services are within reach. In 2014-2015, Genova counted more than 30 thousand university students and more than 10 thousand high-school students in the final two years. A research conducted by Skuola.net showed that younger students prefer home study while older students prefer to gather and study with others.

Founders

The cooperative is made up of three members graduated in Literature, Pharmacy and Languages.
