La Biologica aims at putting together the experience of the team in agriculture to meet the increasing demand for healthy food, organic farming and veganism. Three members set up the cooperative in Fano (PU).

Where does the idea come from?
The idea comes directly from our experience in the agricultural field. We decided to put together our strengths and skills to create a cooperative whose objective is to transform and sell the products of associate organic farmers to create a direct organic path from field to shop. It is important for us that all our products and our associate members are certified. Our main products are organic beer (with a cartoonist designed label), organic and vegan products for sport people, organic and vegan products to sell in specialized shops, hemp organic cosmetics for men and women and even raw materials like seeds. One of our selling channels is a website www.amicocontadino.it.
How is the team made up?
There are three of us. Emanuele Vesprini is an agronomist who has been managing a farm in Sant’Elpidio a Mare specialized in farming and transforming seed-oil. Luigi Corradini looks after his organic farm in Fiuminata and is one of the first organic farmers in the Marche experimenting in hemp farming. Then there is me, Alina Geanina Ametrano, the President, specialized in agro-food marketing, studying also the cooperative brand.
What is your medium/long term goal?
In our first year, we are focusing on the production of organic beer and on wholesaling our products. Then, from next year, we plan to begin producing pasta and then organic cosmetics. We would also like to attract new members.
Why a cooperative?
We wanted a kind of company that would enhance our associate farmers’ work and ours too.
