Cooperative profile
Città della Cultura/Cultura della Città provides and plans services in the following fields: architecture, urban planning, urban recovery, cultural heritage enhancement, logistic and events organization, process innovation and green mobility across the area. It is an outcome of the community program promoted in 2012 by Centro Studi Dante Bighi (Copparo) and Canapè Cantieri Aperti (Ferrara).
The cooperative works in collaboration with private and public entities and groups of citizens for:
- Urban recovery of neglected areas and buildings
- Management tools to preserve and transmit the cultural heritage
- Idea gathering and spreading in the field of Cultural and Creative Industry
- Cultural programs to support cultural and urban planning
- Tourist events focused on the concept of slow mobility, such as pedestrian and bike circuits
Target market
The cooperative’s target market is a new one involving identifying (Smart Mapping) and giving abandoned buildings a new life – theatre performances, markets, conferences, exhibitions, business matching, etc. Working with public and private stakeholders for urban recovery (City Making) and revitalizing the local economy through cultural and tourist initiatives.
Founders
The cooperative is made up of ten members, mainly architects, but there are also an event manager and a cycle tourism expert.
